Can archeology prove the Trojan War?

58

In recent works it is proven that Troy is in fact a place like Homer described.
We don't have a written document from late Bronz Age (1200's B.C.E.) directly related to Trojan War; but the findings in Troy and outside of Troy showed us that, although not 100%, it is almost a fact that Trojan War indeed happened. Archeological, philological and historical data about Anatolia and Aege of 2000 B.C.E point out to such a war (or wars). Archeologically, there are a lot of finding in Troy which indicate a war. Texts from Hittites, which are accepted as the main power of that era, describe a controversy between Hittiteans and Achaens (although it is not proven philologically, experts accept it substantially) on the islands before the city of Wilusa and add that this city, Wilusa/Troy/Ilios had been attacked many times. If we gather this and such findings, the archeology can give us enough data about the Trojan War.
City enters of Troy and its walls match to the description in the epics.
