Did Mehmet the Conqueror really visit Troy?

85

Mehmet the Conqueror, who wanted to rule both the East and the West, visits Troy.
Mehmet the Conqueror, who conquered Istanbul in 1453 when he was 21 years old, was an emperor who brought the end of an era (Middle Ages). He also wanted to become the ruler of both the East and the West just like Xerkes and Alexander the Great. Nine years after he conquered Istanbul, following his expedition to Lesbos in 1462, he first visited Tenedos, and then accompanied by the royal historian Kristovulos of Imbros also visited the ruins in the Troy area.
